  4. Minimum system requirements:
  5. 1) 286 CPU running at 16MHz.
  6. 2) EGA graphics card.
  7. 3) 570K (583,680 free bytes) DOS memory.
  8. 4) Internal Speaker.
  9.  
  10. Note: Performance will be poor on a minimum
  11. system. Symptoms of overtaxed hardware include
  12. slow animation and/or breakups in audio.
  13.  
  14. System configuration for optimal performance:
  15. 1) 386/486 CPU running at 25MHz or better.
  16. 2) Over 600K (614,400 bytes) of DOS memory.
  17. 3) Over 1 Meg of extended or expanded memory.
  18. 4) 256 color VGA/MCGA video.
  19. 5) A music card
  20. 6) A DAC for sampled audio (narration).

  24. Although this demo was designed to be run from 
  25. the menu system provided on the CD, it is also a
  26. standalone runnable product.  Simply type DEMO from 
  27. within this subdirectory.

  29. If you have not originally configured this product,
  30. you will enter the Install program to configure the
  31. demo.  This will create a file in the directory 
  32. C:\SIERRA\DEMOCD.  This directory MUST exist on your
  33. hard drive for Install to work properly.  This directory 
  34. is created the first time you run the DEMO Menu System
  35. (by typing DEMO from the root directory of this CD-ROM.)
  36. Alternately, you can create the C:\SIERRA\DEMOCD
  37. subdirectory manually.

  39. Once configured, typing DEMO will start the demo
  40. program.  To make any subsequent changes to the 
  41. configuration, type INSTALL from within this 
  42. demo subdirectory.
